Castleford library celebrated its 100th birthday in 2005. These are just a few of the photos taken during our celebration day.

Aketon Pastures Junior Schoolchildren entertain us with songs all about Castleford people, past and present. They were led by their headmaster Mr. Ralph Jaggar.

To celebrate the centenary, the friends produced a book "Castleford Free Library 1905- 2005". The joint authors were Pat Bentley and Margaret Lound, shown presenting a book.
